How long should it take to properly hand wash panties?

I usually soak them in water and some vinegar for 10 mins, then I spend about 5 mins on each panty scrubbing the crotch part with baby shampoo. So, am I doing it correctly? What would you recommend to get them very clean? How long should it take to properly hand wash panties?
Rub the spots with a bar of laundry soap, fels naptha or zote. then rub the spot with a soft brush until the stain is gone. How long should it take to properly hand wash panties?
wash them in warm water and detergent to eliminate the bacteria caused by feces, even if you don't have skid marks on them they were in contact with your private parts, rub them as you already are and rinse them until no soap suds is left in them hang to dry.
well if you have fancy panties then yea your fine. but if their the regular ol kind of panties the put them in the washer and save you time for something else.
until the stains c*m out! Boom!
i would recommend you throw them in the washing machine with the rest of your clothes

  • When washing up dishes by hand how hot should the water temperature be ?

and how hot should it be to kill all the germsWhen washing up dishes by hand how hot should the water temperature be ?
As hot as you can stand it. The hotter the better to kill germs. When washing up dishes by hand how hot should the water temperature be ?
The temperature of the water isn't what matters; it's how effectively you clean the dishes and the amount of time you're applying friction to the surface, which will kill germs.

You can't get the water to a germ-killing temperature and still be able to touch it; the temperature would scald your skin. If you're concerned with germs, use the dishwasher. It's able to reach temperatures that kill germs. However, you can always wash by hand in a comfortable temperature and follow with a spritz of Clorox Anywhere Hard-Surface Sanitizer; it's safe to use on food surfaces like dishes!

    Good luck!
The temperature should not be too hot for you to put your hands in the dish water. Water and detergent will clean the dished in cold water, it may take a little more elbow grease, but they will get clean. Normally, I'd make my water just a bit hotter than what I can stand, but not too hot where I can't put my hand in the water.
The water should be as hot as you can stand. I am a big fan of Dawn. I also add a couple tablespoons of ammonia which helps make glass sparkle and keeps my silver plate shiny. Ammonia also kills germs. Bleach is great, but it will discolor silver plate if you have it.
Just use an anti-bacterial washing-up liquid and make the water as hot as is comfortable for you. Your skin does not need to turn red. If you wear gloves, you can probably tolerate it a little hotter. And rinse in hot as well.
    110-115 degrees

Here is a great link that i got this information from

    http://housekeeping.about.com/od/dishes/鈥?/a>

I also buy Dawn w/ Bleach which will help kill those germs also!
Really hot,so you can feel it burning your skin through your hot, sticky, skintight yellow rubber gloves.
Fill sink hot only, with dawn, add dishes, let soak 20 min, water temp will be just right, they will be pretty much clean, just rinse
Use water as hot as possible and wear rubber gloves. One good reason is that grease tends to stay on the dishes in cold or cool water.
As hot as you can get it, wear gloves so you can tolerate hotter water.
I like mine pretty hot and I don't wear gloves..If your really worried about germs then add two tbs of bleach to the water.
Hot enough to be wearing rubber gloves to protect your hands.
As hot as I can stand it, then when you rinse them they dry much faster!
use hot water and wear gloves.
I wash mine in warm water since I don't want to burn my hands. I also use Dawn dish soap

How do I hand wash a 100% cotton, thin, brown skirt?

I have never hand washed anything.

Would it be okay if I just washed it with the rest of the dark load in a lingerie bag?How do I hand wash a 100% cotton, thin, brown skirt?
I would turn it inside out, put it in a lingerie bag, use cold water and gentle cycle. Don't put it in the dryer, hang it or lay it flat to dry. (if you MUST use the dryer do it on gentle cycle for very little time)

Edit: You can wash it with the rest of the load, but I wouldn't put it in with things that have metal buttons or zippers (jeans and pants etc.) because they might cause damage.

Also make sure you have all the closures closed on the skirt. How do I hand wash a 100% cotton, thin, brown skirt?
Fill the sink with cold water, while it's filling put in about a table spoon or so of detergent (liquid is fine).

Put the skirt in the water, and work it with your hands until the soap is throughout the garment.. If there are dirty spots rub the fabric together gently to get them out...

Drain the water, and refill with clean water, work out as much soap as you can (you may need to repeat this step)

rerinse under running water to get out last of soap...

    Hang to dry...

You can try the lingerie bag if you want.. wash and rinse in COLD water.. do NOT put in dryer....
Use cold water (Lots) and a tiny bit of washing powder and you'll be fine, rinse it well hang on a skirt hanger and drip dry.
Woolite works well, then hang dry. You could even use the gentle cycle on your machine then hang dry.
yeah but u must wash it in COLD water.hot water or warm water makes clothes schrink n hang dry

How do I hand wash and dry my 100% viscose top?

I have a 100% viscose party top that I need to wash. It says ';Hand wash only';, but I am unsure as to what I should use. Just my regular detergent, and a sink, and my hands? Should I air dry it? Lay it flat? Dry it in a dryer? Any help would be appreciated, as I am laundry handicapped in every possible way. I am also a college student, so my resources are limited beyond sinks and washing machines. How do I hand wash and dry my 100% viscose top?
Gently wash your shirt by hand in cold water and a bit of detergent. Most importantly, do not wring out the shirt. Roll it gently in a dry towel to get rid of the excess water and then remove it from the towel and lay it out flat to dry. Viscose is a type of rayon and can easily deform when wet. Even though the label says to handwash, it may actually be best to dry clean the shirt to avoid stretching or shrinking (especially if it is one of your favorites!).How do I hand wash and dry my 100% viscose top?
All you really need is a sink and some Ivory Flakes (that you can get at your local store). Use warm water and add just 1 tablespoon of Ivory flakes to it. Soak the top, try not to ring to tightly when washing the top. When you are down just air dry on a bed. Just put a towel under the top. Good luck.

How does foaming hand wash foam?

What is so special about whats in the bottle or is it the pump action on the bottle that makes it foam? How does foaming hand wash foam?
According to Dial, ';the instant foam is created by dispensing Dial Complete庐 through the special, foaming pump head.'; They also say that the soap is thinner than regular handsoaps, so I guess it is a combination of the soap and the pump. How does foaming hand wash foam?
I'll have to ask my wife.
It's the pump on the bottle. So when you buy one (just because they're so much darn fun!), you can re-fill it

yourself with whatever kind of soap you like. --Just be

sure a dilute the soap WAY down. If it's too soapy, it'll

clog the pump and make it stick. Then it's heck to get

it washed out enough to loosen up again. Can you tell

    I've ';been there done that';???

Good way to hand wash clothes?

I recently moved into an apartment where I have no washer/dryer, but water is free (how ironic). I want to hand wash my clothes instead of taking them to the onsite laundry every time. Is there any mechanism out there that would help me? Maybe one of those old fashioned things? Anyone have any suggestions?Good way to hand wash clothes?
How about the Wonder Wash, I heard they were popular

There used to be these small washer-spin dryers which you could buy. Ask around.
go to a flee market %26amp; buy an old ringer washer %26amp; do them in the tub.
When I was living in an apt. I purchased a second hand apt. sized washer (it hooked up to my kitchen tap) it was cheap %26amp; lasted a couple years. Before I purchased the washer I washed some items in the sink or tub...but it was really hard to wring them out properly...so I ended up taking most items to the laundromat.
wash them normall y in the sink and then use a salad spinner to remove the excess water!

Why do my in-laws touch, rub and hold my kids toys and stuffed animals (they're also against hand-washing)?

what ewwWhy do my in-laws touch, rub and hold my kids toys and stuffed animals (they're also against hand-washing)?
yuk - but that's just me. What surfaces in response to your question, most likely from my dubious intellect filled with spoonfed biological facts and from my gut filled with [more reliable] mother wisdom, and hilariously and obviously based in my deepest alligator brain, is how animals seek to 'mark' living things, areas and habitats with their scents in order to show ownership. By 'marking' your kids' toys with their scent, they convey a unique familiarity of themselves in the form of scent to your kids. Probably pretty harmless and may, in fact, prompt some basic bonding that the kid recognizes, as well as some physiological opportunity for the kids to strengthen their immune system[s]Why do my in-laws touch, rub and hold my kids toys and stuffed animals (they're also against hand-washing)?
That is disgusting and I would quit allowing them in my home and going over there. If they are against hand washing they are probably against washing period which is totally DISGUSTING.

I'd give a can of lysol to my kid though and tell them to spray it in their direction and run when they come near them. Gross. Kids may need germs but not washing is just disgusting and can make you very sick, not immune, to things that are more serious than just a cold or other virus.

    EW.
    Wow,That is very well....EW.

First,I would invite them less often to my home, becuase that is just gross. After they leave I suggest buying some Clorox Wipes to disenfect the toys and wash the stuffed animals. So it prevents your child from getting sick.Or maybe hide the toys so they can't touch them
One theory, kids need to be in contact with a wide ranges of common micro organisms and other, in order to develop an immunity.
Perhaps they like to play with the toys. There is a little kid inside of them trying to get out. Buy a small can of lysol and keep a small spray bottle of hand sanitizer in your purse. When they reach for the toys pull out the sanitizer for their use.
..How can you be against hand washing?
    wow, that is nasty.
