How do I hand wash a 100% cotton, thin, brown skirt?

I have never hand washed anything.

Would it be okay if I just washed it with the rest of the dark load in a lingerie bag?How do I hand wash a 100% cotton, thin, brown skirt?
I would turn it inside out, put it in a lingerie bag, use cold water and gentle cycle. Don't put it in the dryer, hang it or lay it flat to dry. (if you MUST use the dryer do it on gentle cycle for very little time)

Edit: You can wash it with the rest of the load, but I wouldn't put it in with things that have metal buttons or zippers (jeans and pants etc.) because they might cause damage.

Also make sure you have all the closures closed on the skirt. How do I hand wash a 100% cotton, thin, brown skirt?
Fill the sink with cold water, while it's filling put in about a table spoon or so of detergent (liquid is fine).

Put the skirt in the water, and work it with your hands until the soap is throughout the garment.. If there are dirty spots rub the fabric together gently to get them out...

Drain the water, and refill with clean water, work out as much soap as you can (you may need to repeat this step)

rerinse under running water to get out last of soap...

Hang to dry...

You can try the lingerie bag if you want.. wash and rinse in COLD water.. do NOT put in dryer....
Use cold water (Lots) and a tiny bit of washing powder and you'll be fine, rinse it well hang on a skirt hanger and drip dry.
Woolite works well, then hang dry. You could even use the gentle cycle on your machine then hang dry.
yeah but u must wash it in COLD water.hot water or warm water makes clothes schrink n hang dry
