My new second hand washing machine help???????

i dont know weather its because it was the the first time that i used it after finally hoocking it up or is that i have been ripped off?? but when i tried it out it had water in the place that you put your detergent but......there was no water entering the drum where the clothes go????i only put it on for abt 20seconds? is it becoz it hdnt been used in ages or wat plz help cheers people!!!!xMy new second hand washing machine help???????
If the water going into the drawer is a bit too slow emptying into the drum then you might try taking the drawer out and giving it ,and the hole the drawer sits in, a good clean- the previous owners might not have ever cleaned these out and they are prime places for old powder to build up and slow things up a littleMy new second hand washing machine help???????
I have a washer with a detergent drawer. The water enters the washing machine by flooding the detergent drawer and then flowing into the washer drum. Sometimes some water is left in the detergent drawer. Start the washer up and try it again.
The water enters the drum via the detergent drawer , this is so it flushes the powder through , turn it off , and try again on a different cycle .
