What do you think about buying second hand washing mashing?

Sometimes you can get very good deals that way. But you need to find out how old it is. What condition it's in. Check the belts and listen to it run if you can to make sure you don't hear any noises that shouldn't be there. The brand is also a factor. An off brand may not be as good as a used Maytag.What do you think about buying second hand washing mashing?
The first time I did so, it was from a ';Goodwill'; type store and the washer 'died' after less than a year. Since then, I only buy from a business that specializes in used washers and dryers, and only if they will give some sort of guarantee or service contract. If the shop doesn't already have a service contract in place, ask them to create one for you. I bought a $350 washer/dryer combo, and for an extra $100 got a 5 years parts-labor-replacement contract. I only needed repairs once, but it was prompt and free housecall. It's worth $20 a year to know I won't have washer repair problems.What do you think about buying second hand washing mashing?
Washing machines wears out easily. It's one of the most used appliance. Go for a new one.
'; Dodgy one ';

Make sure that all connections are tight %26amp; waterproof.
Bought one from an apliance dealer who deals in second hand appliances and it lasted 15 years. Would only buy from appliance store who deals in these kind of things. Also brand does matter and I agree Maytag is one of the best
I bought one in 1996 and it's still going now.

Just be careful to check it out inside the drum and drawers and look all around for signs of damage or rust.

I hope this helps you.
I would just buy a new one. They don't cost that much more than a used one.
I would spring for a new one. You can get a basic one for about $300-$400. The problem w/ a used one is that they are very easily fixed temporarily. So you could go see one work perfectly, but it may have been rigged to only work for a week or a month, then you have to buy a new one and you're out whatever you gave for the used one.
